Tree Top Walk - The Worlds Longest Canopy Walk

I was at the Hutan Lipur Sungai Sedim in Kulm to check out the Tree Top Walk. It is located about 45 mins. drive or about 18km from Kulim High Tech Park.

The journey was quite interesting as the signage to the Hutan Lipur Sungai Sedim keeps appearing & disappearing along the route there. Finding the direction itself is a challenge. For those impatient ones, I'm sure they will give up the search. They journey takes us through small trunks roads and then through village roads(kampung road). The village road is only one lane and you will need to be very careful of on coming cars. Good news is that these are all tar roads.

Another thing to watch out for is the cyclist & motor cyclist using the same road. These are local and have no respect for traffic rules. Motor cyclist without helmets is a common sight. Children and adults alike cycling in the middle of the road is another challenge you would have to bear with. And not forgetting livestocks like Cows, chickens and ducks taking their families across the road.

On reaching there, you would have to pay RM2.00 for parking, then there is the RM10.00/pax for the Canopy walk.

As mentioned, the canopy walk is the longest in the world. It is about 950m in length from start and you actually walk a full circle back to the starting point. It is about 26m above forest level at the highest point. It is surrounded by flora & fauna. Below is the Sedim River. For those adventurous type, there are also other activities live white water rafting (supposedly ranked top 5 in Asia), four wheel adventure, camping, etc.
